THE RULES
1. we’re all here to have fun. please refrain from spamming, being argumentative, inappropriate, or disrespectful to any staff or members. i have exactly zero tolerance for rudeness and zero time to waste arguing with members on a roleplay site, so if you cause problems, you’ll be removed and banned from the forum.
2. you are required to follow proboards terms of service regarding written content. this is a dark universe, so i expect there will be murder and sex and all that fun stuff. that’s totally fine, but keep it pg13 or fade to black and take it to private messages if things start getting out of hand.
3. there are no limits on the amount of canons you can play but we do ask that you don’t take multiple characters who frequently interact with one another (so the same person should not play jon & dany, jaime & tyrion, etc). book canons that have not appeared in the show can definitely be incorporated but please contact an admin if adding them has a major impact on the plot.
4. original characters are also welcome. there are plenty of lesser houses as well as major ones with unnamed or underdeveloped characters if you would like your oc to tie into a canon family (you may not create an original member of a major house with an established number of members; i.e. no original children of ned stark, tywin lannister, etc). you’re also welcome to create your own family/backstory. we just ask that you make it believable in the game of thrones universe.
5. the minimum word count for posts is 250 words. we won’t be super strict about this (shorter, rapid fire posts can be useful, especially in combat situations) but please don’t respond to a long well thought out post with just a few lines. because this roleplay is heavily character driven we expect a post at least once a week. we will be particularly strict about this with major canons.
6. we also would like all of our members to take part in plotting, since the ultimate direction of the site will be decided by you. that said, please communicate with your partners. do not god-mod their characters. do not kill any characters without permission. if you would like to do something major (i.e. take control of a city, kill a canon character, etc) that’s certainly possible, just talk it out with us before hand so that we can work it into the overall plot. i promise we’ll have lots of reasons to reign chaos down upon mankind.
